Perre Marquette State Park Fall Hike Grafton, IL

Perre Marquette fall hiking is great!  Trails are about average and not too difficult. A few have some places that will get your heart rate up but it doesn't take much to keep going.  This beautiful park is located about 45 minutes from Lambert airport in St. Louis along the Mississippi River which divides Missouri and Illinois. If you are looking for a good day hike, this is the place.

The trails are really well marked too.  Fall colors are shining at this time of the year.  Mostly yellows and the browns of trees.  Sometimes you can see some red in the trees.  You get a good view of the rivers Mississippi River and Missouri River from some of the lookouts. It's not the Smoky Mountains or Adirondacks but it's a small treasure in the middle of the country.

The trails go up high so you can see where the rivers meet.  I highly recommend going to this. This is one of the top hikes in the Midwest especially if you are near the St. Louis area.
